HORSES TO FOLLOW 2008 - OUT NOW !!!!

The flat season has now started and there can be no better way of getting ahead of the turf than purchasing a guide to the flat season. Kachina Racing's Turf Horses To Follow highlights 132 horses to follow for this years flat season and lists possible targets for the horses mentioned.

Using information from Gallop Reports, and hours of race studying I compile a list of fashionable and not so fashionable horses that will pay to follow over the coming season. Each horse is spoken about in detail and for the first time in our Horses To Follow books I have included 2yo's.

The book is full of horses from the leading trainers in the U.K. With several lightly or unraced prospects the book highlights horses that will get you winning early from punting and also advises when these horses have their ideal conditions and trip.

The book is the 3rd in the Turf Horses To Follow series and follows another 2 National Hunt books making this our 5th Publication.

For the first time we are producing the book in e-format as well as paperback and the 132 horse E-Book can be purchased for £10.95. The horses to follow book is available in paperback format at £17.95.

Below are some samples from the book;

Froisee

4yo B F, Polish Precedent (USA) o/o Crinkle (IRE)

Quite exposed but continued to progress for connections last season. Shown all her best form over 7f – 1m but gives the impression in her races that there could be more to come if stepped up to 9 or 10f. I have a sneaky feeling this filly could be an ideal Cambridgeshire horse and at Newmarket in August she looked the winner 1f out over 10f before weakening late on. A year older I think she may get that trip but over 8 – 9f she has shown enough for me to think she is still has the ability to win a couple of races off 77. Her final run last season behind Steam Cuisine was a strong handicap and showing her appreciation for soft ground she ran on well without ever having enough pace to be competitive. She should be better again this season and she has a valuable 8 – 9f handicap written all over her this season. I hope my feelings for the Cambridgeshire are shared by connections as she would get her ideal 9f and slowish ground.

Kristal Glory (IRE)

3yo Ch C, Night Shift (USA) o/o Kristal’s Paradise (IRE)

Looked very one paced as a juvenile in 7f and 1m races and a mark of 57 is likely to be exploited when stepped up to around 1m 2f – 1m 4f. From a good staying family and I’m pretty confident this one will be able to win 2 or 3 races off its mark when tackling middle distances.

Inventor (IRE)

3yo B C, Alzao (USA) o/o Magnificent Bell (IRE)

031 –

Huge horse who could be a massive horse this season. He looked very one paced last season but having run very green on his first two starts he knuckled down well to score at Bath in good style. Will be better on faster ground this season and all he does is stay so middle distance races look key to him. Rated 81 he is open to improvement this year and is an interesting type.

Perfect Stride

3yo B C, Oasis Dream o/o First

12 –

Should be unbeaten in two starts but Kerrin McEvoy was over confident at Leicester and got done close home. Always looked a smashing sort and has the speed to win over 6f and the stamina to get a mile this year. Has a really good turn of foot and hasn’t stopped improving. Rated 89 its possible he could stay in handicaps for the time being but eh should be good enough to go into pattern company at some stage this season. A nice strong sort there is plenty to like about him and he is more than capable of landing a big race this season. He is best on a sound surface.

Zippi Jazzman (USA)

3yo Ch C, Dixieland Band (USA) o/o Redeem (USA)

A horse I am seriously looking forward to this season. I paddocked this horse at Bath at the end of last season and he was a lovely big horse with a nice frame to come up into. He strikes me as a horse that could do very well this season and that day at Bath the draw beat him. He had to travel out wide and got into a bit of trouble when he needed to make his run. Staying on very well in the closing stages he was running on strongly at the finish.

Off 77 this season I think this horse is handicapped to win 2 or 3 races early doors and given his American pedigree he could be much better when he gets a fast surface. Ideally suited by 6f I wouldn’t be surprised if he popped up in one of the big 3yo sprint handicaps. I would very much like to see him aimed at the William Hill Trophy at York in June.

The book retails at £10.95 or £17.95 and £2 of every book is donated to Racing Welfare
