It’s that time of year again when Kachina Racing aims to make all successful punters successful racehorse owners.

Yes that’s right Stargazy is back in training and we can reveal we have a few shares remaining in our well handicapped 4yo Observatory
gelding.

If you are not aware, this time last year I announced that Kachina Racing would be launching an Owners Club where members of our services could join an exclusive partnership involved in an exciting racehorse. Stargazy, despite his slow start, didn’t disappoint. Seven members took up the opportunity to get involved in Stargazy and not one of them looked back.

After a few runs we discovered Stargazy’s best trip was 7f and after some tinkering with him and building up muscles we knew we had a well handicapped horse on our hands.

Que January 21st 2008. Stargazy paper priced at 20/1 was the subject of a major gamble for the 6f banded stakes at Wolverhampton. A horse that had shown little in 4 starts for new connections was written off by the press and they even tipped up the yards other runner in preference, How wrong could they be !!! Stargazy backed from early morning shows of 20/1 into 8/1, got a dream passage through the race but was done for speed turning for home. With the winner taking 4l out of him, he stayed on strongly to press within 1 length at the line.

Of course this was over an inadequate 6f, but with an entry on the Thursday in a 7f race we knew it was time to rock n roll.

Stargazy’s improved effort on the Monday was deemed a fluke by the press but the 4yo son of Observatory was never in doubt in our eyes and all members were advised to back him for maximum stakes. Stargazy was a morning price of 11/2 and 7.4 on Betfair, but after a  colossal gamble he started the 3/1 joint favourite. Despite getting boxed in and having to come 8 horses deep around the bend Stargazy showed an impressive turn of foot powering 2.5l clear towards the finishing line.

Since then Stargazy has continued to flourish and after a non event at Kempton when he was over the top he returned to run a blinder from an impossible draw at Wolverhampton, beaten only a couple of lengths in 4th. The problem for Star was that he couldn’t get into a race and  by the time we got in one we were forced to run him in a higher grade just to get a run into him. The pipe opener served him well and whilst less is said about that race the better, he went to Kempton on the Monday to run a very encouraging 3rd. Done for pace he was squeezed up and got going too late. Now with a pleasing run and a happy horse we knew it was time to give Stargazy a holiday and the break has done him the world of good. He has grown again and done very well coming into a gleaming coat. Stargazy is now back in full work and his early
progress has been very exciting. The horse is undoubtedly well handicapped and we are confident he is about to return to winning ways.

Shares in Stargazy are both available at 5% and 10% shares and I know given his recent work we will be able to have some fun this Autumn and Winter and I’m confident we will have more trips to the winners enclosure given how well handicapped we are.

Being in a racehorse partnership has never been easier and here at Kachina Racing we offer you a great chance to get involved at affordable prices without breaking the bank and having a great time. Kachina Racing handles all the administration costs involved with the ownership and all you have to do is pay your monthly agreed cost. There are no hidden fee’s (although if the horse were to run abroad there would be a small surcharge to cover transport).

The Kachina Racing Owners Club is a professionally run partnership bringing racing enthusiasts together with an opportunity to be involved in a fun and rewarding partnership. Kachina Racing can’t guarantee that Stargazy will win races but we aim to achieve the best possible placings. Kachina Racing are not held responsible for betting interests on information given and it is a guide aimed to make you money.

The Kachina Racing partnership is a 12 month legally binding contract and failure to keep up with payments would result in your share being revoked. Stargazy is insured against death in flat racing in the UK and if the worse were to happen those with purchased shares in Stargazy would receive a re-imbursement.

All sale decisions are made by Chris Beek & Bill Turner, as are all decisions to run at races, and whilst members will be informed, the final decision is made by Chris Beek & Bill Turner.

When the horse is sold or wins prize money 5% is taken by Kachina Racing as a management fee.

The horse is the property of Kachina Racing and will run in Kachina Racing’s colours.
